The Isle of Man framework requires an appropriate medicine chest, medical equipment and medical guide on board. Operators must also consider dangerous-goods requirements and any vessel-specific instructions issued by the Isle of Man Ship Registry.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Manx ships within the scope of the Medical Stores and MLC Regulations. A medicine chest, medical equipment and a medical guide are subject to inspection by the Department or a recognised organisation.
The national Medical Stores Regulations set the carriage requirements. The current applicable UK MSN 1905 medical-stores standard should be read together with Isle of Man requirements and any Ship Registry guidance.
Keep medicines, medical equipment and first-aid supplies complete, in date and ready for use.
Check the current official sources and vessel particulars before supply, replenishment or certification.
Check cargo-specific medical-store requirements
Where dangerous goods are carried, review cargo-specific medical-store requirements and the current IMDG Code alongside this flag-state framework. The applicable flag-state rules remain controlling.
